Project Overview

KARM DESIGN was commissioned to manufacture a heavy-duty sliding vane pump assembly for a critical industrial process. The original OEM was no longer able to supply parts, leaving the customer operating with reduced performance due to worn and inefficient components.

Solution

Our engineering team reverse-engineered the entire pump assembly from existing components and engineered a complete replacement.

The new design featured:

  • A cast iron body and end plates with complex cast-in internal geometries to accurately replicate and optimise the original flow paths.
  • A precision-machined EN24T rotor, manufactured with a ground internal diameter finish to ensure perfect vane operation, sealing, and efficiency.

All components were manufactured, assembled, and fully performance-tested and certified in-house to confirm hydraulic and mechanical integrity.
