Project Overview
KARM ENGINEERING was commissioned to re-engineer a set of 66-inch butterfly valve blades used within the power generation industry. The client required precise replacements for critical components that were no longer supported by the original manufacturer.
Solution
Our engineers attended site to capture complete dimensional and geometric data from the existing blades and all associated components — including O-ring carriers, shafts, and pins.
Using this data, our design team produced accurate 3D CAD models and a full suite of engineering drawings to ensure the new components matched the original specifications while meeting modern manufacturing standards.
Key Deliverables
- Full on-site dimensional capture of all components
- Re-engineering of valve blades and associated parts to original specifications
- Creation of 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings for production and QA
- Manufacture and delivery within tight project timescales
- Supply complete with full quality assurance documentation and traceability
Outcome
The project was completed efficiently and on schedule, restoring full operational capability of the valve system with components manufactured to a high level of accuracy and finish.
This project demonstrates KARM ENGINEERING’s capability in delivering large-scale, precision re-engineering projects to critical timelines and industry-leading quality standards.
