KARM DESIGN was engaged to manufacture six complete steam valve assemblies to replace damaged OEM components that had reached the end of their service life. The client required a faster, more cost-effective solution without compromising quality or performance.
Solution
The damaged original valve was disassembled and inspected at our facility, allowing our engineers to carry out detailed reverse engineering and assessment of wear patterns, tolerances, and material integrity.
From this analysis, we implemented several key improvements:
- Enhanced material selection and heat treatment for improved strength and wear resistance.
- Optimised machining processes to achieve tighter tolerances and smoother operation.
